Insurance Trust

The payout should arrive in the right hands, at the right time.

A way for insurance money to be held and paid for beneficiaries — especially children — instead of arriving as a single uncontrolled sum.

Why families ask about a trust

A large life payout to a minor, or to someone who is not ready to hold it, can be lost, disputed, or simply poorly used. An insurance trust, including a trust nomination where the law and the contract allow it, lets the money be held for a beneficiary and applied for them.

A trust nomination under a Malaysian life policy is not the same thing as a private trust deed, and neither is the same as writing a name on a form without reading which type of nomination it is.

What we will and will not do

We explain how the policy can be owned and nominated so it matches what you want. Drafting a standalone trust deed, or advising on faraid, is work for a qualified lawyer or estate practitioner. We will tell you when the conversation has reached that line, and we will not pretend a policy form replaces it.
